Is there an over the counter drug that reduces recovery time after surgery?
Question by basegiants1: Is there an over the counter drug that reduces recovery time following surgery?
I am having a septo/rhinoplasty in December and would like to recover as quickly as achievable. Is there an over the counter drug/vitamin/supplement that speeds up recovery time?
thanks

oh god, that guy is abusing vitamins NOOOOOOO
There are probably lots, but ALL bodies are different and what is good for some is not good for others. You should have a talk with your doctor about what might be good for you after your surgery. I know that you should get good nutrition, though….fruits, veggies, and good sources of protein will all help your nasal passages heal.
look I’m not saying you are but you come off as a guy who abuses OTC drugs and if so stop trying to act Innocent and if you really do need it then talk to a local pharmacist or doctor who is preforming the operation
no.
Just plan on about 1 and a half weeks recovery
your splints or packing will come out on “about” day 5( some less)
You can however take bioflavanoids to reduce bruising around the eyes and vitamin c
dont smoke
drink plenty of water and juices
keep ice packs handy
i would say take a multi vitamin, get plenty of rest, get great food before and after, meaning eat healthy fruits and veggies. but really theres no quick way in a healing process except for adequate amounts of vitamins. hope your surgery goes well and good luck!
