Been married for ten years. Spouse addicted for 20 years. Marriage has been on the rocks. Two kids 6 &7. Lying, stealing, jail time & emotional abuse has been just a few of the details. I believe in my marriage and want the ideal for him. We have started a church plan and he has stopped cold turkey with smoking cigs, drinking. He has done a 12 step plan for 6 months, but requirements much more support. I know I want support as properly. Does any person have any encourging words for me?

Just really like him, and be there for him. Do not give up on him, even if he slips.

My ex-husband had/has a drug problem the only distinction is he would by no means commit to acquiring support. I had to get out of my marriage for the sake of my two children. Thankfully, your husband is willing to do what it takes. That says a lot.

I think you are carrying out proper by joining a church program, you would be surprised at the number of folks in churches that have similar backgrounds as your husbands.

Hi, I don’t know how to say this other then just to say this and it’s challenging for me.
I have been smoking weed for a long time. I can’t quit I go by way of withdraws, I tell men and women i have a issue and they laugh at me!
I do not have the income or the will power to tell anybody close to me! as they smoke too but they are not as poor as me.
I want to stop but don’t want to quit.. just want an individual to aid me.
a 12 step plan for free. or one thing with out going on record for this. I will not go get assist if anyone knows about it and i know that goes against every thing that they stand for ect. but i won’t do it! i’ll remain here in contempt world with red eyes! I know i’m stubborn but i have a job, that i can not lose and if they discover out i’m obtaining treatment for drug abuse i will lose my house. if i do not say anything they will by no means locate out! as i do not come in high..
I have a feeling it’s messing with my head now! 10 years ago i would not of stated that. but now i can see the effects of getting a lengthy term smoker.. I don’t even smoke cigarettes. I don’t drink, this is my only vice. is that why i’m having a hard time!
I do not want to be super BII*TCH but when i go for a day i turn into that. i’m so torn.. how come a plant can make you feel like this! how do i get it to quit…

I am going to attempt my 1st date ever in sobriety so the whole dating with no drugs or alcohol is a new concept. Is there anyone else in recovery that has any tips on dating without having the mind altering devices? I guess I have two fears and those are employing again and/or making use of sex or enjoy to get high. Let me know if you have any assistance.
